SCROLL

We celebrate the outstanding achievements of our 2025 IB cohort. 63% achieved 37 points or more (equivalent to A*AA at A Level).  An incredible 69% of subject papers were graded 6 or 7 (equivalent of A/A* at A Level) and 94% 5 to 7 (B-A*).

The average UCAS points score for Carthusians in 2025 was 211, the equivalent of A*A*AA at A Level, emphasising how universities recognise the added value provided by the IB Diploma. An outstanding 80% of candidates have been accepted into their first-choice university, and we wish them every success in their future academic endeavours.

Our pupils are heading to top universities in North America, including Columbia (Ivy League), Georgetown, Duke, UC Berkeley, McGill, the University of Chicago, the University of Toronto, and UC San Diego. Four pupils have opted for European institutions, with confirmed places at IE Madrid, ESCP, and EPFL. In the UK, all confirmed destinations are part of the prestigious Russell Group, including University College London, King's College London, Durham, Exeter, Warwick, Southampton, and St Andrews.

Many congratulations to all of our IB pupils on their achievements!

We are immensely proud of our IB pupils and all they have achieved this year. In choosing the breadth of the IB Diploma, they leave us exceptionally well prepared for undergraduate study, and also life beyond the classroom.

Their results are outstanding, but it is their wider contribution to the cultural, sporting, and social life of our School that truly sets them apart. They are thoughtful, capable, and well-rounded young people, and they leave Charterhouse with much to be delighted by.

The IB Diploma constitutes superb preparation for Higher Education, providing breadth whilst enabling pupils to tailor subject choices towards their academic preferences. Pupils choose three subjects at Higher and three at Standard Level, keeping their options open for longer. In addition, they study Theory of Knowledge and write an Extended Essay, leaving them ideally prepared for the demands of undergraduate study.
