Our sport is off to a flying start this Quarter (term), with football and hockey teams delivering superb performances, spirited competition, and plenty of memorable moments already. As new faces settle in and big fixtures loom on the horizon, there’s a real sense of excitement about what’s still to come.
Football
The football programme has been in full flow this term, with 24 teams already competing in 40 fixtures over the past two weeks. There have been outstanding performances, with everyone demonstrating impressive teamwork and sportsmanship. The high standards set by our Beaks (teachers), coaches, and players alike are truly admirable, and it will be exciting to see how they progress as the season unfolds.
Boys' House Football:
Our boys’ Fourths (Year 9) and Removes (Year 10) House Football competitions are now underway, with Pageites leading after the opening round of the Fourths. The Senior Boys’ Cup and TICS competitions kick off next week – keep an eye on Charterhouse Sport Instagram for the group draw.
Boys' Football:
Over the coming weeks, our boys’ teams are set for an exciting run of fixtures against some strong opposition, including Winchester, Millfield, and Wellington. These matches promise to be a true test of skill and teamwork, offering plenty of opportunities for memorable performances.
Girls' Football:
Over the next few weeks, our Girls’ Senior 1st XI and U15 teams will begin their ISFA Cup campaigns, taking on some of the leading schools in the country. Both squads have been training hard and are eager to display their skill, determination, and teamwork as they embark on what promises to be an exciting competition.
Girls' House Football:
Girls’ House matches have now begun on Green, bringing plenty of energy and healthy rivalry to the pitches. Early rounds have already produced some thrilling contests, and anticipation is building as we look forward to an exciting final later this Quarter (term).

Hockey
Girls' Hockey:
The start of the hockey term at School has been nothing short of outstanding, with high-quality play across one of the toughest and most competitive circuits in the South. Every weekend, 14 competitive teams across various age groups take to the astroturfs, showing exceptional standards of individual skill and teamwork.
One of the most impressive aspects of the season so far has been how seamlessly our new pupils have integrated into the programme. Their enthusiasm and commitment to the sport have made them excellent ambassadors for Charterhouse and set a high benchmark for years to come.
The term ahead promises even more excitement and development as these young athletes continue to impress both on and off the pitch. We have already enjoyed two great block fixtures against Wellington and Lord Wandsworth College, and now look forward to an exciting clash with Epsom College this weekend.
