STEM Week

I am delighted to introduce STEM & Sustainability Week (10 - 14 March), a celebration of scientific discovery, innovation, and problem-solving at Charterhouse. This exciting week highlights how STEM subjects not only help us understand the world but also equip our pupils to become future leaders in tackling global challenges.

A key highlight of the week is our annual STEM Fair, where pupils take the lead, running interactive stalls for their peers. With representation from all departments through their respective societies, the fair promises to be a fantastic display of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.

New this year, we are launching House STEM Competitions! Throughout the week, Houses will compete in Biology, Chemistry, Design Engineering, and Physics challenges, with teams of two pupils from each House putting their knowledge and skills to the test. These challenges are designed to stretch pupils’ understanding and encourage them to think critically – essential skills for the scientists and engineers of tomorrow.

STEM education is about more than just acquiring knowledge; it’s about innovation, problem-solving, and making a difference. Whether through breakthroughs in medicine, sustainable technologies, or cutting-edge engineering, our pupils at Charterhouse have the potential to shape the future.

We look forward to a fantastic week of discovery, competition, and inspiration!
