We pride ourselves on using fresh, premium ingredients, and our 3-week menu cycle ensures that there is always something to suit every taste, with a variety of delicious, pupil-favourites. Our menu is carefully crafted to meet a nutritional checklist that supports both academic and athletic success, drawing inspiration from our talented chef team with diverse culinary backgrounds.

Healthy, Balanced Meals

We believe eating in School should be a pleasurable experience, one that nourishes the body, provides energy, and encourages healthy habits. Our meals are designed to be nutritionally balanced and filled with all the essential nutrients needed to fuel pupils for their studies, activities, and sports.

We aim to inspire healthy eating habits and introduce pupils to a wide variety of foods that contribute to their growth and well-being. Our meals incorporate a balance of proteins, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and plenty of fruit and vegetables at every sitting. With options for meat and vegetarian diets, there’s something for everyone, ensuring that all pupils have access to the nutrients they need.

A Collaborative Approach to Menu Development

Our menu evolves every term, with input from pupils gathered through termly meetings to ensure their preferences and feedback are incorporated. We believe in continuous improvement, making regular adjustments to fine-tune the menu and enhance the dining experience.

Nutrition-Focused Meal Planning

A full-time Nutritionist is on hand to assist the Catering team in raising the nutritional quality of our offerings, ensuring that all meals align with the Department for Education’s School Food Standards and the 2014 School Food Regulations.

Each term, the menu is reviewed to ensure a healthy variety of foods, with balanced macronutrients and essential vitamins and minerals. Our meals feature eight varieties of starchy carbohydrates throughout the week, such as pasta, jacket potatoes, and wholegrain options like farro and freekeh. We also offer a wide range of vegetable side dishes and include fruits at every meal.

Pupil Favourites and Special Events

Our catering is built around making mealtimes enjoyable and exciting. For breakfast, we offer daily specials like smashed avocado on sourdough, smoked salmon bagels, and pancakes. At lunch and supper, some of the most popular dishes include Katsu Chicken, Chicken Milanese, Beef Chilli, and Turmeric Spiced Salmon. We also feature a Gnocchi and Pasta bar, where pupils can customize their dishes.

Throughout the year, we host special food events and nutritional pop-ups, such as “Exam Nutrition Snacks” to support pupils' focus and energy levels during exam periods.

Supporting Sporting Achievements

Our School’s impressive sporting facilities are complemented by a catering service designed to support pupils’ performance on match days. We provide energizing sports-packed lunches that give pupils the long-lasting fuel they need to perform at their best, along with recovery meals to help them recharge after intense physical activity. Additionally, our parent teas on match days offer delicious options to celebrate our pupils' sporting achievements.

Where possible, we source our ingredients locally, focusing on high-quality, sustainable products. We prioritize Red Tractor certified and free-range eggs, ensuring that our food is both ethically sourced and of the highest quality.
