Young Citizen Award

Young Citizen Award

We are incredibly proud to announce that Fleur (Year 13), one of our exceptional pupils and Heads of School, has been awarded second place at the prestigious Rotary Young Citizen Awards.

This recognition is a testament to her outstanding initiative and leadership in organising and running charity fundraising events in support of Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospices, through which she raised over £1,300.

Fleur came second to an inspirational young citizen who saved their neighbour’s life while ensuring the safety of younger siblings and friends.

Her journey began with The Assassins Game, a one-off event held during Artifex – a pupil-led festival of creativity and art at Charterhouse in June 2024. The event was a great success, bringing pupils together and creating a strong sense of community and camaraderie, while also raising an impressive £733. This inspired Fleur to introduce The Christmas Assassins version in December 2024.

Fleur's commitment to this cause is truly commendable. She single-handedly managed all aspects of the events, from planning and coordination to execution, demonstrating her exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills. Her efforts have not only made a significant impact on the lives of children and young people with life-limiting conditions, but have also inspired her peers to get involved and make a difference.

At the awards ceremony, Fleur was presented with her certificate by the Mayor of Godalming and had the opportunity to speak about her experiences. It was a wonderful evening, and Fleur should be very proud of her achievements. Her dedication to her community, coupled with her passion for helping others, makes her a true role model for the entire School community.

We congratulate Fleur on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to seeing her continue to inspire others and lead by example.
