Cup Glory and House Rivalries

Cup Glory and House Rivalries

Hockey has once again enjoyed a fantastic few weeks, with outstanding performances across the board, including an exciting cup run and thrilling games in House Hockey.

The 1st XI continues to impress with a fantastic cup run and has progressed to the National Semi-final against Kingswood, which will be played on the 25 March in Bath. The way the game is played highlights the school’s values and ethos, and we hope this run continues into the finals.

The standard of hockey displayed by the boys is outstanding, and their hard work is starting to pay off.

House Hockey

House Hockey has been in full swing with some exciting and closely contested games. The Year 9 (Fourth) House Hockey saw Saunderites deliver an absolute masterclass, ultimately claiming victory in the cup, while Gownboys won the plate. The Year 10 (Remove) cup followed a similar path, with Saunderites narrowly defeating Robinites in the Cup final to secure back-to-back House Hockey cups, while Pageites claimed the plate in superb fashion.

Senior House Hockey is still ongoing, with the Semi-finals and Finals set for 26 March, where Daviesites will aim to retain the cup against tough competition from Weekites, Bodeites, and Pageites.
