This week saw the launch of our support programme for Year 12 pupils interested in a career in Medicine, Veterinary or Dentistry.
Thirty pupils from our Medics and Dissection Societies came together for a special Biology Week collaboration. Pupils were taught how to suture thanks to Dr Warren, our resident vet, and then passed these skills on to their classmates.

Over Activities Weekend, Year 11 and Sixth Form pupils from the Army Section and Royal Marine Detachment travelled to Longmoor Camp in Hampshire. For many the weekend was the first time they had trained as part of the Contingent due to COVID restrictions over the last 18 months.

Year 11 pupil, Edward Wilmouth, entered Wycombe Abbey School’s’ Summer Mathematics Competition and was one of the five entrants, out of 350, who answered all of the 20 questions correctly.
The inaugural Perception lecture takes place on Thursday 16 September, with an incredible speaker, Mr A Truett, MBE addressing, 'Pioneers in risk, subterfuge and combat; the Women of Britain’s Special Operations Executive in World War II'.
Congratulations is in order for one of our Year 12 pupils, Justin Wang, and two Year 13 pupils, David Yang and Laura Galbraith, who have been shortlisted for the John Locke Institute Essay Competition.
Year 13 pupil, Kandy Zhang, received the Cessford Travel award last term, enabling her to really delve into her research project by going to Mongolia, and examine a variety of invaluable primary resources.
