The first few weeks of term have been full of events for parents and Old Carthusians to network and socialise.
Our first event was an ‘All industries’ networking evening, very kindly hosted by Charles Bathurst-Norman (W97) at JM Finn. With around 70 parents, OCs and a group of Year 13 pupils in attendance, accompanied by Mr Hazeldine, it was a wonderful evening and a great opportunity to learn more about different industries, create new connections and get some job and career advice. Thank you to all who came along and to JM Finn for hosting us.
At our second event, we welcomed an enthusiastic group of parents, whose primary residence is not in the UK, to an exclusive evening in central London. This is the second time we have run an event dedicated to bringing our international parent community together to facilitate social relationships and in turn, develop a strong support network. The next event dedicated to bringing the international parent community together will be on Friday 23 May 2025, the evening before Carthusian Day.
Finally, we welcomed our Fourths and new Remove parents to the New Under School Parents Brunch. This annual event is always a good opportunity for parents to meet each other and to speak with the Head and other members of the Senior Leadership Team, before picking up their children for the first leave weekend of the academic year.
