Best Ever IB Diploma Results

Best Ever IB Diploma Results

Pupils are celebrating the School’s best ever IB Diploma results – testament both to their hard work and to the expert support and guidance of their teachers.

An incredible 96% of subject papers were graded between 5 and 7 (equivalent of B to A* at A Level). The average Diploma score was 37.5, significantly above both the UK (34.67) and global averages (30.32). The average UCAS points score for Carthusians in 2024 was 217, the equivalent of A*A*A*A at A Level, emphasising how universities recognise the added value provided by the IB Diploma.

All of our candidates achieved the coveted IB Diploma, including four with the Bilingual Diploma (two with English/Italian and two with English/Mandarin) and are now looking forward to their university careers.

Many congratulations to all of our IB pupils on their achievements!

The IB Diploma constitutes superb preparation for Higher Education, providing breadth whilst enabling pupils to tailor subject choices towards their academic preferences. Pupils choose three subjects at Higher and three at Standard Level, keeping their options open for longer. In addition, they study Theory of Knowledge and write an Extended Essay, leaving them ideally prepared for the demands of undergraduate study.
